I have tried to center all of the text and pictures on this page but sometimes they don't come out centered depending on your browser. Don't ask why it just does!! I just added a new background and I would like some feedback on it. If you have some nice backgrounds please e-mail them to me or send me the links.

Here are some of the planes I have downloaded from multiple sites and you can have them FOR FREE.

Please excuse the quality of the pictures but I had to compress them to make them fit and they got distorted.

Harrier This is a hard plane to control, but you can get the hang of it after a while. The flaps control the thrust vectoring refer to the text file.

Click here for the download of harrier.exe Take the file that you download and put it in your aircraft folder of you flight sim directory. Name a folder called Harrier and then put the downloaded file there then unzip it in there. YOU MUST HAVE THE FLIGHT SHOP CONVERTER INSTALLED (see links page for download)

Augusta Helicopter The controls are based off the Bell 206b but it is a lot easier to control than that helicopter.

Click here for the Augusta Helicopter. Make a directory in your Flight Simulator/ Aircraft directory called Augusta and unzip the files to that place. YOU MUST HAVE THE FLIGHT SHOP CONVERTER INSTALLED. (see links page for download)

B-17 Flying Fortress Very nice plane and easy to control.

Challenger Space Shuttle (Don't worry it doesn't blow up) While in flight and there is full or half thrust the boosters and main fuel tank show up. Very fast and hard to control. Can go straight up without stalling. You can also go from sea level to 99,999ft (the highest you can go in flight simulator) in under 1min 30sec if done right.

In Air

Click here for the download of the Space Shuttle Challenger. Make a folder in your Flight Simulator Directory called shuttle and then unzip all of these files into it. YOU MUST HAVE THE FLIGHT SHOP CONVERTER INSTALLED. (see links page for download)

F-14 Tomcat Very nice plane and is very powerful, the winds swing back and forth but they do it by themselves and I'm not sure when they do but you'll figure it out.

Goodyear blimp This is a very nice plane but hard to handle. If you are a good Flight Sim pilot you will get the hang of it rather quickly.

C-141b Starlifter Very large plane and when the engines are off the doors in the rear and a door on the side open up.

F-117 Nighthawk (Stealth) Very nice plane but has no landing lights, of course it is supposed to be stealth right?

Click here for the download of the F-117 Nighthawk. Click here for the replacement *.MDL file that has landing lights. Just replace the F-117.MDL file in the model directory of the f-117 aircraft. I downloaded an awesome program that adds landing lights to planes that don't have them. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you can download the program that does this too! For the aircraft Make a folder in your Flight Simulator/ Aircraft directory called f117 and then unzip all of the files in that folder. YOU MUST HAVE THE FLIGHT SHOP CONVERTER INSTALLED. Saab 340b Turboprop commercial connection Very nice setup, included is a panel and the turboprop sounds, also features functioning landing lights and strobe. Turns very good on the ground.

Safety Truck from Duckling Air© Sounds like a cessna but has lights that flash follow me and landing lights that are headlights. Nice setup but don't step on the brakes to hard because you will then fly and then fall like a rock because it doesn't have wings.

Cessna Citation II: Great aircraft recently downloaded by me and corners great on the ground as well as banks and rolls over very well in the air. No strobes or landing lights but if used in daytime it is a great aircraft.

For aircraft Make a folder in your Flight Simulator/ Aircraft directory called citation and unzip the files to there. Then use the flight shop converter to convert the .air file so it is compatible with Flight Sim 98. Have fun!! YOU MUST HAVE THE FLIGHT SHOP CONVERTER INSTALLED. (see links page for download)

This is a Bell UH 1 NYPD (don't ask about the name) and it handles okay. When you are outside the plane looking at it and you hit this key / then there will be a floodlight, but it does not show up on the ground. A lot easier to control than the Bell 206b but you do have to get the hang of it.

Try to use JAB because it simplifies everything to do (below). This is a long download about 5 mins on a 31,200 modem. READ THE READFIRST.TXT FILE TO KNOW HOW TO INSTALL THE FILES CORRECTLY. PLEASE THIS TOOK ME A WHILE TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO INSTALL THE PANEL FOR IT AND IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE E-MAIL ME. YOU MUST HAVE THE FLIGHT SHOP CONVERTER INSTALLED IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HAVE THE PANEL THAT COMES WITH THE AIRCRAFT. (see links page for download)

Saab 2000: Wow! What an awesome plane. It is very realistic and has an awesome panel which is on the panels page.

You may need to convert the *.air file so it works with fs98. To get the turboprop sound, use JAB to associate the sound of the saab 340b to this plane. YOU MUST HAVE THE FLIGHT SHOP CONVERTER INSTALLED. (see links page for download)

Aeropastiale Dauphin Med-Evac: Great helicopter by, you guessed it, Ian Standfast. He is the master of all helicopter making. This is an awesome helicopter with a panel, on the panels page, and sounds.

As you can see the picture is a lot better. That is because I got a new computer with a graphics accelerator card. Man does that open up a whole new world with flight simulator. Anyways, down to business! Click here for the download of the package of the Aircraft and sounds. It is a large file so it may take a while depending on your modem. Make a folder in your flight simulator/aircraft directory called aero, and unzip all of the files in there. Follow the directions in each of the zipped files inside the larger one on how to install them. Would everyone please get the evaluation copy of Winzip 7.0 because it is a lot easier than any other unzip and zip program. YOU MUST HAVE THE FLIGHT SHOP CONVERTER INSTALLED. (see links page for download)

F-15E- I love this Plane. It is soo nice. Just one thing that you have to remember, the fuel tanks hold 5000 gallons each and the center holds 500, if you take off on full tanks, or try to, you won't be that successful. I recommend that you take off with 1/4 fuel tanks and do an "Air to air refueling mission". With 1/4 tanks the top speed is around 2.15 mach or about 1400 knots. In this picture I decided to "Buzz" the football stadium next to meigs feild. (Notice the afterburners are on!) This plane also has its own sounds.

Click here for the download of the F-15E Eagle. This is a very large file around 840Kb, be prepared for a long download. Make a folder in your Flight Simulator Aircraft directory called f-15 and unzip the files in there. (Make sure that you have the "keep stored folders" box checked, if you have winzip)It is already converted so you do not need to convert it but you do still need to have the FLIGHT SHOP CONVERTER. (On links page) If anyone wants it, I have a flight video of the performance of the F-15. The video features a flyby of meigs feild and the tower view while it does that.
